In-House Lawyer – Oil & Gas Sector (Hungary)

A dynamically growing company in the upstream oil & gas sector is seeking an experienced
In-House Lawyer to support its legal operations during a key development phase. The ideal
candidate will possess a strong background in commercial and corporate law, and the ability
to navigate a highly regulated environment with confidence and precision.

Location: Budapest (On-site)

Key Responsibilities
● Provide legal advice on a wide range of business matters, including commercial
contracts, labor law, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and intellectual property
● Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (e.g. NDAs, vendor/service agreements)
● Monitor changes in Hungarian legislation and ensure ongoing compliance with industry
regulations
● Prepare legal documents, memos, and internal reports
● Liaise with external legal counsel when needed
● Optionally represent the company in legal matters, depending on experience

Requirements
✅ Law degree and bar qualification (Hungary)
✅ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar in-house legal role or law firm
✅ Strong knowledge of Hungarian corporate and commercial law
✅ Excellent analytical and communication skills
✅ Fluent in both Hungarian and English (written and spoken)
✅ Experience in the energy or oil & gas sector is a strong advantage
